Las Vegas is a holiday destination for many Americans, the "Disneyland for adults" as some have said. The city is an attraction set up in middle of desert, and more or less everything you see is man-made. It is interesting place though, to see at least once for a day or two. I remember from the time when I lived in Dallas, some American colleagues who did "weekend packages" in Las Vegas. Several times a year, they flew in on off-peak weeks, and signed up to play for certain sum at hotel casino, thus getting the hotel room and dinner etc. for free from the same hotel-casino.
My work has taken me to Vegas multiple times, usually during some bigger trade show. Last time I was there in January 2005, and these pictures are from that trip. Nowadays I am not that keen on travelling there on business, as the place is always crowded during trade shows, starting from the airport. One day it would be nice to make a road trip and stay at Vegas maybe a couple of days before taking of towards the West coast.
